Allow users to save, star or favourite events. So they can plan which events they would like to attend. This would be a huge value-add to the end user where there are a lot of events to choose from and they may want to attend a few.33 votes
Maybe you could see a window with a list of all the events, and check which ones to add to the blog, or you could choose an event category whose events would show on the blog.30 votes
We have the ability to choose lots of different data to display or hide... all except image. I really want to show my next three events with images and details below instead of the clunky calendar graphic with the date. it just doesn't look good.29 votes
Make Sticky Work in List view to give the ability to feature an event.27 votes
I am writing this to give you a suggestion to develop an Android and iOS app for your Event Plugin. I am a freelancer an often use this plugin for my clients as I love it. Unfortunately, Many Clients do not want to login to their dashboard to add an event. They often say if there is any way to add events from mobile phone or if they can add an event on Google Calendar, it should be added on Website Events page too on auto. So I face such feedback. Today I thought to give you a suggestion to have a smartphone app integrated with your plugin. May be you can nave it as a premium feature, but it will help alot of people who do not like to look at dashboards of there website. Thank You

Some companies need to hide the past events from your agenda, keeping the focus only in future events. The Events Calendar PRO do not have this option.26 votes
I want to exclude past events from the main wordpress search results. I found others with the same request.25 votes
I saw a feature on Eventbrite's event page today that would be a great addition. Links to directions to venue from your current location.
It has links based on modes of transport.24 votes
It would be great to have the option to group events by day in the list view: Essentially creating a list that would look something like this;
Now we do have the List view, which is grouped by Month only, with no way to group events happening the same day under the same heading. (Apart from creating a template override I guess... )22 votesneeds more votes · AdminThe Events Calendar (Product Owner, The Events Calendar by Modern Tribe) responded
Thank you for sharing your idea. We are looking forward to seeing what others think of it as well. :)
Standard behaviour is that it uses the full size. Adjusting is possible via theming and page template, but in most themes this is easily adjustable, so why not here.
AND: less work in case of a major update.20 votes
On our website we have chosen Month View as our default calendar view. When a user searches an event that occurs in a future month, they see nothing because search results always display the current month. The user thinks the event doesn't exist, in cases where the event happens in a future month.
We'd like to request this be changed so that search results display the month of the first occurrence of the event... a more effective means to display results and improve user experience.
Thanks for considering!19 votes
Right now, The Events Calendar keyword search searches the Title, Post Body, and Post Excerpt.
I suggest that you add the option to include selected WP post-meta fields (custom fields) to the keyword search.
This would be extremely helpful, as a number of sites include various page information in custom postmeta fields. I would suggest it not search postmeta by default, but include the option to select which post_meta fields are included in the keyword search.17 votesneeds more votes · AdminThe Events Calendar (Product Owner, The Events Calendar by Modern Tribe) responded
That’s a great idea! Let’s see how many votes it gets.
Many events have lots of sponsors in order to make them a success. Many events are supported by sponsors, generally financially and in return ask for advertising and promotion at an event or through the events media - website, Facebook, flyers etc.
It would be great if you could add sponsors to the single event page, with the sponsor name, logo and weblink.17 votes
Our organization would like an easy way to compile event statistics for a specific time period (calendar year, for example). TEC doesn't include any such reporting functionality and I'm not aware of any 3rd party solutions to this other than using an SQL tool.
Data that we would be interested in includes:
- number of events in the time period
- number of tickets sold in the time period
- total revenue for the time period
The main reason I upgraded to the PRO version of The Events Calendar was to take advantage of the recurring events feature, however after setting this up the 'Upcoming Events' sidebar widget has now become useless as it simply displays the same event over and over because several of the occurrences are before the next independent event.
I would like to see the option to only show the next instance of a recurring event in the widget's list.14 votesneeds more votes · AdminThe Events Calendar (Product Owner, The Events Calendar by Modern Tribe) responded
I imagine, with enough votes, we might be able to implement one or all of the following:
- a widget checkbox option like: “don’t show other occurrences within the same recurrence series as a related event within this widget”
- a checkbox in the general settings that does this globally
- a checkbox in the recurrence settings (so as to not be available to non-recurring single events) that does this per series – for controlling display on the single event view’s related events
Enable importing events/venues/organizers via XML (either file or URL, preferably URL). Some great event feeds are available in XML only.14 votes
I have many events that run for many weeks or over multiple weekends. I would like an option to only show events that have not started yet (today onwards).13 votes
Hi, it would be great to add Jalali and Hijri Calendar to the core as an option. because they use different types of date.13 votes
Allow for an event to have a "priority" that can override & block out other events on that day
As an example ... I have a fitness center client that has 40 recurring events and they fall on the same day of the week as Christmas. It would be great to set up "Christmas" to be the main event that 1 day and override all the other events that are recurring so we don't have to modify the 40 events because they are closed on that holiday.13 votes
I can definitely see how this might be very useful. It may be that this is extremely complicated with our recurring events and such, but I will bring it up with the team for further review.
If this would help you, please add your votes!
I would love to see a shortcode event embed implementation similar to event rocket.
[eventembed category="gala" limit="1" template="shortcode-embed-list-gala"]
[eventembed event="3033" template="shortcode-embed-list-past"]
This shortcode had some really great features specifically:
1) ability to create and use customised templates for specific needs a) image only template,
b) upcoming events template with or without ticket sales option
c) past events template (display only name image description)
d) what ever you need
2)Select specific events by id number or category ect (especially useful when events are hidden from calendar view
Thank you for this suggestion.
Let’s get more votes on this one!
