Hey there and welcome to our feature request forum for The Events Calendar, Event Tickets and all of the premium plugins we develop provide on TheEventsCalendar.com!

We’re always looking for new and awesome ways to improve our products. We think they’re pretty great out of the box, but we also know that there are often things that could make them even better for how folks like yourself use them in the real world. Our tools help the right people, get to the right place at the right time. How can we improve our products and make them super awesome for you and your users? That’s where we can use your help!

If there are features that our products do not currently support but you think would be a huge added value for you and lots of other people, then please share them here with us. The submission form will walk you through a few quick questions to get the ball rolling.

Before posting your idea, here are a few tips that will help make your request stand out and succeed:

  • Look to see if someone else has suggested the same idea, or something very similar. Many ideas are being submitted and it’s very possible that another request already exists. In that case, add your vote to the existing request.
  • Be as descriptive as possible. What does the feature do? Where would it be located? Who would use it? How does this improve the overall experience of managing an events calendar in WordPress?
  • Use mockups, if possible. Pictures are worth a thousand words and having a visual often brings a greater level of clarity to an idea.

  1. Autofill the featured image in WooCommerce Tickets

    Make it possible to add the WooCommerce Product featured image from within the ticket meta-block in the event. I would be perfectly happy with either of three solutions:
    1 reusing the header image
    2 reusing the featured image of the event
    3 selecting a separate image for just this reason.

    But can understand if option 1 might conflict with how the image might be used otherwise and option 2 might conflict with the fact that the ticket is stored basically separate from the event, so perhaps option 3 should be it and will save me a lot of time anyway.…

    • Reduce the number of generated WooComerce products

      This might also be solved by filtering out the tickets from WooCommerce admin's product list, but it seems now that I have no option beside having a product for every individual ticket. It would be nice to be able to reuse an existing product and link that to several event tickets, when they are basically the same but just for a different date, thus allowing to minimizing the number of event-ticket products generated

      • Managing attendees and order information from admin

        As an admin, I need to manage attendees of an event. For example I may need to remove an attendee, or edit the contact information of an attendee, I may also need to add an attendee to an event.

        For example a company buys 4 tickets to an event, but later on finds out that one employee could not make it, the company then calls and ask admin to remove a ticket.

        • hide event tickets from wordpress & woocommerce search

          Since I run a business that sells services, online courses and physical products next to tickets for small workshops and live courses, and find that in the search results there are a lot of tickets for events (both future and past events) that I really don't want in that results. I can't just filter out the product CPT, because I also have other products in store, I do want to show.

          So I really need something (preverably a setting) to prevent event tickets from appearing in the search result (both the general WP-search and the WooCommerce Search). Whatever sollution should…

          • Add a filter for deleted, canceled, completed orders on the attendees list

            the ability to filter out the attendees that are not going with the ones that are going by determining the order status. this would be best as a part of the text input box that is labeled "Filter by purchaser name, ticket #, order # or security code: "

            • LearnDash Integration

              Event Espresso integrates with LearnDash such that event attendees can be added to LD courses or groups. I would love to see a similar integration.

              • Add Permissions & Capabilities for Ticket Fieldsets

                Currently Permissions can be added for:
                - Events
                - Venues
                - Organisers

                However there are no capabilities for "Ticket Fieldsets" therefore it uses the "edit_posts" functionality.

                You are therefore unable to segment these users from being able to also edit posts.

                Would be good to have a set of capabilities for ticket fieldsets

                delete_tribe_ticket

                • Allow (which was possible before the latest update) :15 increments for Updated time pickers for start and end sale

                  My client needs to end ticket sales 45 minutes before show time- the newest update only allows :30 min increments, please adjust back!!

                    • Hiding or filtering WooCommerce Event tickets from admin product list

                      I would really like to have a filter in the WooCommerce Product list (admin) to hide the tickets Event Ticket Plus generates there. I find the number of ticket products build up quickly and mostly I want to manage the (much smaller number of) non-event products in my store and don't want to have to plough through the entire list of events products to find those products.

                      Since I tend to access WooCommerce Ticket-products via the event admin page, I don't really need them in the product list, although I can Imagine it would be more flexible if a filter…

                      • Register multiple attendees in one purchase under separate names & email

                        When someone clicks to 3 RSVPs attending - I want to have them add each individual attendee name. Right now RSVPs are only allowed to enter one name.

                        • enable selection of multiple saved fieldsets

                          When creating custom attendee information, enable the ability to select more than one saved fieldset. Right now there is only the option to select one, and then the ability to add saved fieldsets goes away. I'd like to be able to add multiple (such as Guest Contact & Meal Preference).

                          • Dropdown in the ticket area

                            Wouldn't i be nice have a dropdown in the ticket area so the user can just choose a ticket (when having multiple tickets) at that line and not having to scroll down (Bad UX when having many types of tickets). After the ticket is selected the right price is shown and you can just fill in the attendee information and go to the check out.

                            • Third party for ticket sales processor

                              I am developing a web site for a concert venue. The site uses a third party for ticket sales processor. I need to send a ticket request to the third parties site with a query string and not internally on the site with eCommerce. This must also be easy for my client to repeat, they cannot build a button each time. I like your plugin for my event calendar and I am hoping for a easy solution.

                              • Hide remaining tickets

                                I want to hide the number of remaining tickets, until a certain threshold is met.

                                At the moment I do that by adding that threshold in src/views/wootickets/tickets.php in line 131
                                if ( $remaining && $remaining < $threshold)

                                It would be nice though, if that threshold could be somehow defined in the Wordpress backend, so that I can for example define a global threshold and can turn that functionality to hide on or off. (Like in woocommerce).
                                In addition it would be nice, if for each ticket the threshold could be set individually.

                                • duplicate event without duplicating it's Eventbrite ID

                                  Right now, if you duplicate or clone an event in Wordpress, it duplicates with the same Eventbrite ID as the existing post -- so changes to the new event overwrite the existing one. It would be better to be able to duplicate an event (as as draft) and allow it to create its own Eventbrite ID when published. This is important because recurring events are not supported with your Eventbrite plugin.

                                  • Add the ability to upload a custom Text block to each email Ticket in addition to the Header Image.

                                    For some of our events we do not provide the venue address until after a ticket has been purchased. To accomplish this I am creating a jpg with the address information and uploading it as the ticket header image. The feature i am requesting is to allow the upload of text in addition to the current Header image upload functionality. The text block should be displayed immediately below the Header Image (if a header image has been uploaded).

                                    • Add an option to adjust ticketing to allow for a faster check-in

                                      We recently built a site for a client using Events Tickets Plus- client checks in over 500 users a day but the response time for checking in was slow to load, so we stripped all of the backend out of the response showing only a large green confirmation message for attendee being checked in successfully or a large red confirmation for an already checked-in ticket, reducing the scan to check-in time to under 2 seconds.                                       • Multi-currency compatibility for selling tickets

                                        We sell in multiple currencies (where prices are fixed in each currency, not just converted from one to another) and so we operate in a multi-currency Woocommerce environment which means we cannot use Events Calendar without it becoming multi-currency compatible. Multi-currency is typically provided by a plugin such as Aelia which is what we use https://aelia.co/shop/currency-switcher-woocommerce/ Please adopt this so we can sell tickets to events anywhere around the world, with prices set independentlly in each location, in their local currency!
