Feature Ideas

Hey there and welcome to our feature request forum for The Events Calendar, Event Tickets and all of the premium plugins we develop provide on TheEventsCalendar.com!

We’re always looking for new and awesome ways to improve our products. We think they’re pretty great out of the box, but we also know that there are often things that could make them even better for how folks like yourself use them in the real world. Our tools help the right people, get to the right place at the right time. How can we improve our products and make them super awesome for you and your users? That’s where we can use your help!

If there are features that our products do not currently support but you think would be a huge added value for you and lots of other people, then please share them here with us. The submission form will walk you through a few quick questions to get the ball rolling.

Before posting your idea, here are a few tips that will help make your request stand out and succeed:

  • Look to see if someone else has suggested the same idea, or something very similar. Many ideas are being submitted and it’s very possible that another request already exists. In that case, add your vote to the existing request.
  • Be as descriptive as possible. What does the feature do? Where would it be located? Who would use it? How does this improve the overall experience of managing an events calendar in WordPress?
  • Use mockups, if possible. Pictures are worth a thousand words and having a visual often brings a greater level of clarity to an idea.

Please not, this is not a place to get support or ask questions about how the plugin works. If you need help, please visit our support forums. If you use our free core plugin, you can post in our forum on WordPress.org.

I suggest you ...

  1. Automatically sync Eventbrite with Events Calendar

Automatically sync new Eventbrite events with Events Calendar instead of having to manually enter event IDs for each event you want to add.

    • Tickets > Add setting for ticket area postion

Could you add a Settings Feature that allows us to easily position our EventBrite Ticket Window to the top of the page?

It would be awesome for those of us who are not coders to have a feature/setting that automates this process: http://tri.be/support/documentation/moving-the-eventbrite-ticket-form/ - Thanks!

      • Add two lines for address (as eventbrite has two lines)

When importing from eventbrite, address line 1 and 2 are combined with no space between. At least a space should be put between them when combining, and it would be great to have the two address line fields separate.

        • Add an option to make EventBrite posts a "one-way street" for data

We want to be able to import events from eventbrite, but make it so any changes we make the WordPress post that results ONLY apply to the WordPress side of things. We want to display things a little differently on our WordPress site than we do in EventBrite, and don't want changes for things like Title, and Content to go back to EventBrite. Would be great if there was an option for the communication to go only one way - from eventbrite to WP, and not back to EventBrite.

          • Show event dates in woocommerce order list

            As asked here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/adding-event-date-event-name-to-woocommerce-order-list/

Hi there, I have seen in some other event/booking plug-ins that work with WooCommerce that the stored event date (some add the event name too) is displayed in the order list – in the part that displays the details of buyers like name, address, payment method AND event date.

Is there any chance to pick-up that stored information and display it in the WooCommerce order list? if not yet, any plans to implement this in the future?

            • Price Range in List View for Eventbrite Tickets

Would love it if there was a function to list each ticket name and price (e.g. General Admission - $10, Reserved Seating -$15) instead of just the price range with EventBrite events.

              • Allow Eventbrite plugin users to select a currency

Allow users to select a country/currency before creating an event in WordPress, so the event is created with the proper currency in Eventbrite.
