I have my community calendar set to moderate all incoming events. I would like to have the option to auto-approve events by specific users that I trust.21 votes
Interesting idea! You might be able to do something like this with specific User Roles so that some approved users have publishing capabilities.
We mail out physical tickets for our events (there are a few reasons for that, besides we don't have a scanning / check-in option available at the moment). There is a small delivery charge that we add to the purchased order unless the ticket is picked up from the office. The shipping option is not available if the ticket is virtual. I like the virtual option too for when tickets are bought closer to the event and we don't have time to mail them out. Hope this helps. Thanks!10 votes
Interesting idea! We’d love to see if other people are interested in something similar.
Allow control of category capability as you do for venue, organizer, e.g. edit_tribe_organizer, so we can prevent editors from adding or changing calendar categories.120 votes
Make the events search bar a widget. It’s such a great tool, but it’s hidden on my homepage with no easy way to put it out front where it really belongs.102 votes
This plugin is already 95% working correctly with The Events Calendar.
There are only 2 things that ignore the language addition in the URL:
1. the "All Events" link in breadcrumb above Event Detail page
2. the "View all events" link at bottom of widget49 votes
In WP you can set it so that new commenters on your site get put in the moderation queue. Once a commenter has a previously approved post they can bypass the moderation queue and it will get posted immediately.
I would like a similar feature with Community Events, where once a user has a previously approved event it will bypass Pending Review.7 votes
Like price filter, which have the option to select the price with the range slider, would be great to have the same option for the distance filter.17 votes
Many events have lots of sponsors in order to make them a success. Many events are supported by sponsors, generally financially and in return ask for advertising and promotion at an event or through the events media - website, Facebook, flyers etc.
It would be great if you could add sponsors to the single event page, with the sponsor name, logo and weblink.14 votes
Standard behaviour is that it uses the full size. Adjusting is possible via theming and page template, but in most themes this is easily adjustable, so why not here.
AND: less work in case of a major update.19 votes
Add more information to email templates for a range of events. Emails templates could possibly list.
- Name Of Event
- Image of event
- Description of event
- Ticket information
- Important information
- Event date/time
- Location Information (venu)
- Map of event location
- Company Contact details19 votes
I want to exclude past events from the main wordpress search results. I found others with the same request.22 votes
The venue picker lists all existing venues by name, but does not indicate the city/state for each venue. The result is that venues with the same name but in different cities will be indistinguishable on the list.
Example: churches, schools, synagogues have common names that reoccur from city to city. Rather than working around this by modifying the venue name itself [eg, "St. Luke's Lutheran Church (Seattle)", "St. Luke's Lutheran Church (Federal Way)"], it would be nice to keep the venue titles clean and instead disambig based on the city, state.135 votes
For SEO purposes, remove /category/ from urls like mysite.com/events/category/music/ for SEO Purposes. It should be mysite.com/events/music/ instead.107 votes
Add the ability to display event in a continuous timeline. Perhaps something like this - http://theme-fusion.com/avada/timeline-full-width/ for the type of layout11 votes
This is a terrific idea. We have discussed laying out all events in a verical or horizonal list, such that you could stop up or left to view past events, and right or down to view future ones. We are keen to see how many people would like that ability. Thank you very much for sharing this!
When moving or zooming the map it'd be great to have an option to have the list underneath the map refresh to only show the events relevant to what's being displayed in the map. For an example of this just see yelp.com's search results.94 votes
Hello - new user of the plugin here. We are a large community of activists and bring together a number of events - so far Evenbrite plugin has been amazing.
I wonder if it would be possible to import from Eventful? They have a great accessible API and the monitor the fair use of this: http://api.eventful.com
The API is quite extensive. But in particular I'd like to search by keyword, location and venue.
At the Filters & Columns area of the Events admin page, the user may add a 'Start date' filter and save it. This is convenient for future use. It would be even better to give the saved filter the ability to use today's date as a parameter.
But when choosing the start date 'date' from the dropdown calendar, there is no option to choose 'today' as the date. Another solution may be to add 'On and After Today' and 'On and Before Today' to the 'Start Date' dropdown menu.47 votes
I would love to see Modern Tribe work with iThemes to create integration with iThemes Exchange for selling tickets to events. Any chance this could happen in the future?12 votes
The post-author and categories should also be shown for events, which are shown in the main blog loop (just like regular posts).12 votes
Connect with Brown Paper Tickets (brownpapertickets.com) in a similar manner to your existing eventbrite functionality.7 votes
