You can only pick a start date with 3.0.
If you have many hundreds of events coming up, many of them at the same location, map view becomes an unwieldy mess.
I suggest, like Google Analytics, the option to pick a RANGE.176 votes
A rating system for past events could be great. I was looking into implementing with GD star, but you can only have the option of rating ALL events, not past events due to the event date being set as meta data not as post date.25 votes
I would love if the calendar was one page layout (in my case full width) and an event page a different one (in my case with a sidebar). The calendar needs lots of room so it makes it sense to display it full width but for an event page I would like to show ads and other content in a sidebar.63 votes
it kind of work already bc the plugin have translation files but i have to make a link somewhere to domain/es/calendar witch my site have english and spanish. if i go straight to the URL with the prefix the calendar change the language but if you access the calendar and you press the flag for the other language, the page stay on the same language, doesn't change. BUT if i add on the url address bar domain/es/calendar then it get translated and it show the events in spanish. thats one thing. at least if i open the calendar with the prefix of the language and i open the event the info appear like i translated on the wp editor fine. BUT the custom fields still on english. qTranslate have some options like even change the excerpt choosing the flag or language tab could be cool if i could change the strings of the meta box base on the language, just like the editor tabs or excerpt. Also thnx to the plugin qTranslate Slug i can change the slug of posts, pages or any taxonomy, but on the calendar even if the title of the event get translated the slug is in english that is the default language. I'm not looking for full support but at least it will be nice if im on the calendar page or events list and i press the flag and it get translated to the other language. i found some work around playing with the theme functions.php adding some filters, but still kind of broke the whole qTranslate functionality.
im working on a website and im playing around with this. you can check it out here and see what im talking about and play around changing languages and changing url prefix of the calendarr slug:
it doesn't matter witch language you are on the calendar if you try to change it, it will just send you to the same page. i play with the .htaccess to make some tweaks to redirect but still doesn't fix or make the UX better. the only way around i taught was create a page with custom slugs that send you to the right calendar. other is a page with information about the calendars like a introduction and buttons with the URL to the translation calendar correctly. anyway, i have work around but is not friendly, you should be an advance user or developer to find a way around. in simple words, doesn't have to be just qTranslate, but the plugging at least could have some kind of integration with switching languages instead of been aviable of translated on some languages. of course if the website is just 1 language it will be translated friendly JUST for that language but it doesnt have an UI for switching or translating on the same dashboard. im not talking about the .MO because already have some.
sorry if iv been redundant, my english is not that good, im just trying to let myself well understood.
thnx in advance, still the plugin is awesome! :) thnx for the contribution to the WP community with this script.
im using the free version but im gonnna buy the PRO version so i could have the widget and the other stuff. it could be awesome if could manage languages switching for the end user and avoid making weird work arounds to make it work.

We worked hard to integrate our plugins with WPML to allow for multilingual calendars. We do not currently have plans to do the same for qTranslate, but we might consider it if enough people were interested.
Hook into the WordPress JetPack Publicize plugin or to WP-to-Twitter plugin to tweet event posts when they are published. This should hook to the WP Shortlinks feature (wp.me) or to Twitter's shortener (t.co) so links can easily be included in the tweet.34 votes
