Google Calendar Sync using Calendar ID + API
I'd like TEC and Google Calendar to be 1 and the same, only that TEC is responsive on our site. The administration is already used to updating google calendar. TEC would be perfect if it had this. I've found a plugin that does what I'm talking about https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-calendar-events/ but it's honestly not as flushed out as TEC(especially in terms of responsiveness). It uses the calendar ID and calendar api key. I think you guys could do what they've done better. It would be awesome if this came out as a feature. Thanks!
That’s a great idea! Thanks for the specificity. This is something we have talked about some, and are keen to see how many folks are interested in it. We really appreciate your posting the idea here.
You might also want to check out our Event Aggregator service (https://theeventscalendar.com/product/event-aggregator/) and see if that would meet your needs. It allows you to import events from Google Calendar into The Events Calendar and even has automatic imports so you can keep things up to date.

Would love it if you had a plugin or feature in the aggregator that would allow for two way syncing with Google Calendar automatically.

Plugging this once more, since it'd be awesome!

I had an aggregator license, but I can't come to renew it unless it has the ability to fully sync events with my google calendar through the ical link becomes available. Right now if you update and/or delete an event on your google calendar it does NOT update the event on TEC. In some cases if you edit an event, it imports a whole new one into the TEC events posts.
This just seems like a very logical, and critical feature of the TEC aggregator plugin.

I'm considering buying the pro calendar. But I really need an easy way for my users to simply click a button and our calendar syncs with their google calendar / apple calendar, etc. Downloading a file each month and adding it to their personal calendar is too complicated for the majority of my users. My previous calendar implementations just allowed my users to subscribe and their calendars would be updated automatically every month.
Yes! This would be incredibly helpful! We may actually end up changing to a different plugin (at the request of our organization's president, def not from me as I love your plugin) if we don't have this feature
