Do not include deleted tickets or cancelled orders in participant list sold units.
Right now, if you look at the number of ticket sold in the participant list, it include tickets that were sold then cancelled, or completely deleted orders. I suggest that this number only includes existing participant or that another item is created to see the number of expected attendees and active tickets sold.
Thank you all for your continued feedback here. This is very much something we are interested in refining. We are going to rope in a strategist to properly account for the various workflows of as many people as we can, and try to find a slick method and improved method for reporting this info to everyone. Until then please keep voting, it helps us prioritize.

Completely agree. We needed to be able to test purchase tickets, and now that we have, we need to delete the test purchases entirely - not have them show as sold and refunded/canceled. I want to reset it to 0 sold, 0 attending. I hope this is resolved soon!
I agree with Jonathan completely. We have loaded the Events Calendar and Events Tickets Plus on our client's staging site, we have run many tests and are now moving to production. The classes are all set up, the attendees (test records) are all deleted and the attendee list looks like lots of people are registered. This is not what we want or expect to see. Please let us know an update.
The problem is not fixed!
This is still an issue
This is still a problem. Updated and still seeing this issue. Is this only for future things posted or all?
yes fix it
Ahhh, finally, perfect. Hopefully the bug is fixed soon! :)
This doesn't need votes, this can complicate relations with our clients when it's time to pay up. Please fix this.

I agree this should be a bug fix. We are still within the 30 day window and this could be the final deal breaker for missing functionality we need.
I'm afraid there is no more important functionality than collecting money to a business.
People can and do change their mind.
Tickets that are cancelled / deleted have to have those spots made available again.
Otherwise that will result in lost revenue for the plug-in user, and ultimately for modern tribe.

should be a bug fix!
This is not a new feature request but a Bug fix. Please treat it as such.
This request makes a lot of sense and is how we'd expect this to work. A ticket refunded is no longer valid and is back in stock. We no longer have the funds and the customer is not coming to the event. Why would it be included in the sale and attendee count since the sale is cancelled ?
This is an ongoing problem for me also! I need to have exact numbers and I'm always having to check manual figures and do manual calculations.
