Autoselect event in dropdown

Hi,

I've a request for a feature.
We run a website which uses The Events Calendar. On a content page, we explain what the event is and at the bottom we place a button to the form to subscribe or sign up. But that form has a dropdown of multiple events, so the user has to choose the right event. What we want is, when you click on the button, there will be (from our side) a parameter included in the url like: [url]?event=[eventname], and when the page with the form is reached, the form will try to pickup that event parameter and select the common event in the dropdown, see screenshots for further explanation.

After clicking on button you will redirected to this page with the form https://[domain]/inschrijven/

What we want is to add a parameter to the url of the button like this
https://[domain]/inschrijven/?event=3-daagse-leergang-adviseur-crisisbeheersing-2

Then this dropdown will try to select the right option if the value is equal to the url parameter

Please let me know if this is possible to build. If not, do you have suggestions for me to make a better flow, so the visitor doesn't need to select their event after they were redirected with the intention they will be signing up for the right event.

Let me know! Thanks!
