Bookings Plugin or Feature
We often have people request the ability to have users / customers make a reservation and pay for a specific time slot. Each time slot would have a limited number of spots, and would update with each purchase so customers could check the calendar for available dates and times.
For example, this might be a great feature for: vacation rentals, tours, hair dressers, masseuses, yoga studios, workshops, classes, and doctor's offices.
We really appreciate everyone’s interest in having us build a booking solution for y’all. We are honored that would look to us to build an alternative to all of the currently available WP booking plugins.
Sadly we do not have the bandwidth to build a fully fledged bookings plugin right now. Our current focus is on ticketing and event management. This has been a hard decision for us to make, but this simply will not be on our roadmap for the foreseeable future. If something changes you all will be the first to know.

Bookings Plugin or Feature
It would be great to have a bookings feature for locations, based on hourly/daily/weekly time slots showing availability etc
A great extension taking events bookings to the venue hires!
For example, this might be a great feature for: vacation rentals, halls, tours, hair dressers, masseuses, yoga studios, workshops, classes, and doctor's offices any many more
Adding the ability to add start and end time to an event is already possible. Maybe add the ability to split the one event in several timeslots within the setup of the event. Give just X spots to be booked per slot and that will give the option to sell for example tents, barbeque spots etc.
For the start that would be great!!
I know you declined this previously but maybe you could reconsider.

I think the idea of an Availability Calendar that can either be completed by admin, take reservations by a user but also be able to link up to the top booking sites to ensure availability is updated regularly from those sites too
Still looking for this feature in 2017. I don't want to download ANOTHER WP plugin that manages ANOTHER calendar. It would be great if you guys did have a booking plugin that would work around existing events on my calendar. Also with the option on the back end to choose "office hours". By this I mean the admin would check whatever days of the week they want and assign certain hours for each day where bookings are accepted. They can also selected a duration for each booking whether it's 30 minutes or 60 minutes or whatever. Perhaps have a price for each duration (maybe $30 for 30 minutes and $45 for 60 minutes). It would be an ideal solution if your company developed this so that it can work with the existing calendar. It is clearly a highly requested feature so you guys would make enough money off it...
A lot of businesses, like ours, not only require event calendars and ticket sales, but also the ability for our customers to book available amenities!
We have a solution to that. The problem is that plugin calendar and your plugin calendar, do not share info..so there's a lot of manual editing that needs to take place every time someone buys a ticket or books a reservation on the calendar.
You guys build a booking system into your impressive list of plugins and you guys will own the world! ;)
We appreciate the feedback on this. We certainly understand that for some of you the feature would not need to be fully fledged. But the original proposal, which would cover the following usecases:
> vacation rentals, tours, hair dressers, masseuses, yoga studios, workshops, classes, and doctor's offices.
Would be a large feature for us to build. It is also a feature that is a bit outside the scope of our current plugin. So once we build that, it will spawn a new series of feature requests and it will take us a while before it could be deemed feature complete. This is a big undertaking, and one we must weigh the costs of.
If some of you have a far simpler idea that would be easier to implement, please suggest it separately and vote on it there. Feel free to link to it in the comments here.
Please know we have continually monitored this idea. Even though it's not the most popular and would require an enormous investment on our end, we still talk about it quite often to see if it might be doable. Thank you all for sharing your feedback, it has been very helpful.

This is not a huge project.
Add one column to the venue table MaxEvents. If set to zero, then leave behavior as is. If set to a number above zero, then call the function described in GetEventTotal and check that the number of records returned is less than or equal to the max events.
This one isn't tough and it would be the first step in moving from a simple event calendar to a venue manager.
In TSQL you would do something like this:
Create Function GetEventTotal(@venue varchar(50), @FromTime datetime, @ToTime datetime)
Select Count(ID) as events from events where venue=@Venue and @FromTime<=ToTime and @ToTime>=FromTime
RaiseError('Too many concurrent events')
Add a setting to the venue that allows a user to prevent multiple events from being concurrently scheduled for that venue.
The ability to link to a third party service is already possible. With the PRO plugin you can create an additional field with a link to a registration service. You can even style this link, turn it into a button, with a custom template. Reach out to us on the forums if you want some additional details about that possibility.
That said, we certainly are not ignoring the possibility of this becoming a built-in feature. I just wanted you to know that for your specific request of using a third party, is already possible with a small customization.

This one too--even if merely adding the ability to have a link to "agenda" and "register" under the Events section (as some calendars may be linking to third-party conferences, where the agenda and registration URLs are elsewhere)
I wish your company offered a Booking Calendar. There are others out there not just Woocommerce bookings which is over priced compared to others that I have found which have been out longer.
But since I plan on buying your Community Events Calendar for my vendor directory site I would have preferred to use just one company for all my plugins.
There is already a special Woothemes plugin for this, namely http://www.woothemes.com/products/woocommerce-bookings/. It's darn expensive though, and obviously it is separate from TEC. It would make this plugin more interesting though.
a timetable for the gym with weekly appointments fixed, indefinitely, you can easily modify.
I saw that on your plugin you should enter an event but I did not see the option to add it as I will. Example, Mondays from 8 to 9 Pilates is and will be for 4 months.
I would definitely use (and be willing to pay for) this feature!
We have at least one client who must have this feature and, as a result, cannot use your excellent calendar on their site. Hope this is coming soon!
We need a good tool for managing events. Currently there is nothing to help with scheduling in any comprehensive way.
This would be a huge project. We're definitely interested, but we are not actively working on it at this time. We're focused on our post 3.0 releases and the upcoming Filters Bar.
I couldn't have said it better than Jacopo!
Would purchase this plugin right away if it had the booking calendar added to the product pages of WooCommerce!
Is there a timeline on this one? I see there are a ton of votes to add this functionality.
