Specific Roles/Capabilities for Event ticket checkin
Setting capabilities for The Events Calendar and add-ons (such as Wootickets) to an event specific scope would allow better control over distributing tasks for events. Would most useful for Wootickets, and other ticketing add-ons, so that the Event organizer or whoever is in charge of the event itself could be able to check attendees in, without being given access to more content on the site. Current, viewing attendees requires an edit_posts capability, which opens up a lot more access than should be necessary for that task.

this is certainly a very useful capability we need

This is certainly needed if you have a team of people managing events. edit_posts is a whole lot more than is necessary to access a list of attendees in our scenario!

Develop an add-on plugin to Events Tickets Plus that would pass "Author" credentials to each event category so that staff can select that category to begin QR checkin without having to login to Wordpress? Or maybe even after the QR scan has been performed, the plugin recognizes the Event Category and passes the Wordpress credentials so that proper checkin can be completed?
Just some thoughts...

Very helpful feature for those running larger organizations with multiple users on a WP site....Admins are very leery of granting overly generous access rights to the back-end.
I would also suggest the same feature for EDD Tickets.

I desperately need a way for my folks to see the # of attendees and check them in without having access to administrative rights. I love my site and I love your plugins, but I am currently seeking another service provider or option because of this feature alone. :(

In Wooevents, I suggest adding the add the attendee list with checkin feature to the front end. This way we don't have to give our checkin people access to admin.
