Show status of activated filters in Horizontal Filterbar
The new filter bar is awesome! Hiding, resetting are in view, but… it is hard to see, if there were any filters active without opening the filter options or the bar is closed.
Maybe it is useful to show a short message like "Filter active" below the Filter-Reset link, if any filter/s is/are chosen.
We’ve just released an update for Filter Bar that will display activated filters in the horizontal view of Filter Bar.

Agreed. The filter is great, but the UI needs some more work.
It would be more user friendly and astatically pleasing if you could replace the basic filter bar with the advanced filter bar (which would include both sets of filters). The current setup is a bit confusing for the average user.
Additionally, users are having trouble using the filter itself because the page reloads every time you select a filter option. It would be more ideal if the user could select all the filter options, then select search once they are done.

Users are having some UX/UI issues with the calendar filter. Namely, they have had the Event type filter on without realizing it, which causes some events to not appear in the calendar view (without them knowing why).
There does not seem to be anything to show you when you have a filter on. Please update your UI interface for the filter bars to display what filters are being used, when they are being used.
Interesting Idea Jim. We regularly merge ideas to do just that, and I appreciate your heads up here. The only thing is, this appears to be a distinct request to me. This request is for a visible indication in the Filter Bar that a certain filter is active even when that filter is collapsed. This is likely specifically a problem in the Horizontal Filter Bar where filters are basically always collapsed. In that style of Filter Bar, there is unfortunately little indication that a given filter is active.
The other request is excellent. But it appears more geared towards customizing which filters are open by default. Thus it would not apply to the current Horizontal Filter Bar because opening those by default does not make sense in the current Filter Bar design.
If I have missed something please point it out.

This seems very similar to "allow for customization of active filters to appear open/closed"...could we combine the threads...and their votes?
