Support Woo Product Variations within Event Tickets
Its standard in woocommerce, so it should be in event ticket.
Thank you everyone for chiming in and helping to clarify what needs WooCommerce Product Variations will fill. It is clear that there are a variety of use cases for these, and it is very valuable to know each of them. Please continue sharing your feedback.

YES PLEASE! My client needs variable ticket types/prices-- not just sale items, but add-on items to tickets. Thank you!
Please, can you support variable products on the ticket + and have times printed on the tickets.
Hi, I just converted from Calendarize IT and EventON to EVENT Tickets.
Your approach is clean and straight forward and much easier to handle, but now this drawback...
Variable Products are not combinable with your tickets.
At last with some manual intervention / code / snippets, this should be achievable, but nothing provided. Thats a pretty sad story and makes it unusable for dance festivals and classes where more than on ticket is needed for diiferent reasons. the matrix of creating tickets is becoming too much and hard to keep overview.
I would really like to see a support for Woo Product Variations build in.
In many of my events I have 3-4 categories of people and 2-3 options for each one. Generating 12-16 different tickets is not only time consuming for me, but also confusing for the costumers.
I agree with many of the comments here and also find it frustrating not having the ability to have a simple custom label 'category/variation/taxonomy' (basically all the same thing) from a custom-list of ticket categories that can be assigned at ticket creation level.
It appears short-sighted to have not provided some level of ticket variation functionality (appear under 'Woocommerce/RSVP'?) much sooner based on all the forum requests and comments I've seen to date. The stock answer seems to be 'that is custom development'.
Also - agreeing with a related shortcode feature request below, to show a single ticket or multiple tickets elsewhere using a shortcode based on this variation/category/taxonomy label would be extremely useful. Please add this feature ASAP.
P.S. I think the title of this Suggestion could be expanded to also say 'Event Ticket Variations' - you'd probably get more votes and realise this requirement is important for many customers.
Come on! Let have this!
I agree, this option should be added. We provide classroom training and have additional options for each participant. For example, would like you a textbook ($35.00), would you like to add additional training ($50.00), etc. Now we have to have a separate ticket for each option which is very confusing and cumbersome. A simple checkbox with adding addtl options would be great or at least make this compatible with other plugins who provide this like woocommerce product add on.
Tickets really need to be variable products! There is a base product (a ticket to an event/course etc) which is available in variations (full price, concession etc) so really it's an obvious conclusion to me. Ending up with 100s of products for just a couple of events is a real headache for site admins, and also having a list of tickets with various prices for one event is very confusing for end users. Please please please get it happening! Love your work!
I need to offer the same tickets at different prices for different ages (i.e. Under 25s etc.) - at the moment I have to add multiple different tickets (full price, under 25s, concession etc.) and keeping track of stock is a bit of a nightmare! Would be amazing if Product Variations could be supported! Thanks!
Hi How do I display product variable or attributes with wootickets? I want to work with attributes in events but can not! Do you have this feature already? I understood That you have it' so I bought it!

We would love to see this. We do 30-40 international events a year that have multiple pricing levels. We first separate pricing by membership status (are they a member of our organization or not), then we separate by type of delegate (e.g. local, standard, government employee, speaker, exhibitor, sponsor, etc.). Having one ticket that allows them to choose the variation they need is MUCH cleaner than listing 8 or 10 or more ticket types.
Allowing shortcodes so we could put the tickets anywhere we want (i.e. inside of a tab) would allow for much more flexibility.
This is driving me nuts...
I've got 6 different entry categories - but all for the same ticket.
So I have to add 6 tickets to 7 different events = 42 tickets vs just 7.
Wouldn't it be easier to just allow WooCommerce ticket ShortCodes in the event description, and allow WooCommerce to handle it directly ?
Adult / Child/ Group 6+ variations. This would at least make up for the fact that recurring events isn't functioning so a standard event with a few recurrences has nine different tickets instead of just three for the three dates (dropdown variables would cover the ticket types).
It's crazy this hasn't been implemented given that it comes standard with woocommerce and TEC was built to use with WC!!
Be able to add extra pricing options to tickets. For example adding £2.00 to the ticket total to upgrade to a first class ticket.
This would be great.
For example: It should be possible to add a one of three available Workshops as an add-on for the ticket. The Workshops need to be paid.
So: Ticket 50$ + optional Workshop 15$

Well, as I mentioned in my previous comment, I would have prefered ticket types to be implemented with variable products. The product title itself could then be the same as the event title. The ticket type would be an attribute.
1. Cleaner products list. Some sites sell other products than tickets and they still need to use the Products admin screens. At this time, Events Tickets Plus will create a simple product for each ticket type of each event. Each of these will have the ticket type as its title. This quickly fills the product list with similarly titled products.
2. Better compatibility with other WooCommerce extensions. One of the sites I'm currently working on uses a Point Of Sale WC extension. This extension already supports variable products. If ticket types had been implemented as variable products, they would have "just worked".
Please direct Global Stock questions to https://theeventscalendar.com/support/ and keep the comments for discussion regarding Support WooCommerce Product Variations within Event Tickets Plus. Thank you for sharing all your use cases; they're always beneficial!
I do not need variations. However, a refund in Woocommerce does not increase the global stock. It is easy to forget to update the global stock manually.

Most comments here relate to the possibility of maintaining a global stock level for an event. This is addressed in the most recent version of Event Tickets Plus. What I would like to see is a single variable product for each event, with each ticket type being a variation. This would clean up the admin-side product list enormously.
Please, please, please add this feature! Is there now way to utilise the existing woocommerce variable product/attribute features??
