More information in ticket email templates
Add more information to email templates for a range of events. Emails templates could possibly list.
- Name Of Event
- Image of event
- Description of event
- Ticket information
- Important information
- Event date/time
- Location Information (venu)
- Map of event location
- Company Contact details

We've always felt that one of the weaker aspects of Event Calendar Pro is its communication capabilities. We’re currently unable to customize email messaging for each unique event. Additionally, our clients are unable to customize the standard confirmation email on their own due to their limited technical capabilities.
It would be extremely advantageous if there were a series of WYSIWYG editors/fields for users to create custom confirmation email messages and custom admin notification messages for each specific event.
Features should also include:
-Ability for the admin to send custom ad-hoc emails using a WYSIWYG editor
-Ability to send the aforementioned emails dependent upon registrant type
-Ability to attach files to confirmation emails
-Ability to automatically update registrants of event changes (already in development I hear)
-SMS notification (already requested)
-Event reminders (already in development I hear)
-Ability to identify a custom recipient for admin notifications
-Ability to manage email template designs
-Email log tracking communication
I purposefully included features that have previously been discussed because I feel it’s important for your communication options to be comprehensive and all inclusive. Reviewing the forums and feature requests, you can see individuals requesting elements of the above. Rather than designing each element individually over time, it may be more advantageous to take into consideration the entire communication strategy to ensure optimal usability.
EDD still doesn't handle basics of TICKET sales for Events... it's still download-centric. What I would need (adding to Gary's)
- print the EVENT DATE & TIME on the Purchase Receipt
- Description of event (taken from individual event(s) from different days.. this wouldn't be for RECURRING EVENTS, just 2 different events in general). There's no way to put the Description of event.. "Making Cookies Seminar" and "Making Scones Seminar"
It's almost unbelievable this isn't done. Try the product, create 1 or 2 events Mon 8-9PM, Tues 7-8PM, customize the Purchase Receipt and notice how little you can add to the event details and have them different on each Purchase Receipt.
How can you sell a ticketing solution without the abilty to WRITE the date on the purchase receipt email?
This would be extremely useful, especially having the option to add the date and time so customers can refer back to the ticket rather than having to go back to the site.
