Currently we can use /Events or /Calendar as the root level or slug. I propose having the ability to use /Football/Schedule or /Parents/Calendar13 votes
Add an option for these custom posts (each event) for social sharing (FB, twitter, etc. etc.) which will allow visitors to share directly a particular event from the event page.38 votes
Thank you very much for sharing this idea! For those interested there are plenty of third party options for sharing your events on social media, check out our article: http://m.tri.be/w7
A rating system for past events could be great. I was looking into implementing with GD star, but you can only have the option of rating ALL events, not past events due to the event date being set as meta data not as post date.25 votes
I would love if the calendar was one page layout (in my case full width) and an event page a different one (in my case with a sidebar). The calendar needs lots of room so it makes it sense to display it full width but for an event page I would like to show ads and other content in a sidebar.63 votes
Event Calendar Pro lets me add additional fields - all of which show up on the Community Events edit screen. It would be good to have an option to customize which are private (admin only and not viewable via the my events screen) and which are public. Probably has an impact on template function calls as well.11 votes
You can use our handy extension to do this :) https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/hide-additional-fields/
At the moment, you have the option to select a default view for the main shop page, but the category pages default to a list view regardless of what you have selected for the shop page. I'd like to see the ability to select the default view for both the shop page and the category pages, but in the absence of this, I would think it would be better for the category pages default to be the same as what was selected for the main shop page.3 votes
We have a tutorial that will help you accomplish this: http://tri.be/support/documentation/display-categories-in-list-view/
An add-on to integrate with Mailchimp would be nice. I would like to automate with Mailchimp a weekly email reminding users of the weeks upcoming events. This would be a nature extension of any calendar plugin it would seem, but I have yet to find that integration.56 votes
This feature is already nicely handled by the third party paid addon: Event Calendar Newsletter Pro. It can directly send out email campaigns showcasing upcoming events, or be integrated into a recurring MailChimp one using MailChimp’s RSS campaigns. A great solution all-in-all.

I would love to see a simple or summary view of events. Just a list showing each event on one line with date, event name, organiser, and venue (and maybe a category): Eg:
06 - Tuesday Track at DISC - Brunswick Cycling Club - DISC
07 - The Loop Criterium - Eastern Veterans Cycling Club - Yarra Boulevard
We’ve started design and strategy around this, but requires some backend development changes before we’ll be able to implement it. We’ll keep you posted!
Though most events have a start time, they often do not have a definate end time. Please add an option not to define an event end time.71 votes
Good idea! I definitely see how this would be useful for you. One way you can already achieve this is to set the end time of the event to the same as the start time. Only the one time will show, so List View looks something like this (http://d.pr/i/FhYb) and the single event page looks like this (http://d.pr/i/hRxR). However, this doesn’t work if you use the Week View, as the event doesn’t show any time span.
If you want to remove the end time for all of your events, you can use this snippet: https://gist.github.com/ckpicker/75fecbc6209538b1daf2
it kind of work already bc the plugin have translation files but i have to make a link somewhere to domain/es/calendar witch my site have english and spanish. if i go straight to the URL with the prefix the calendar change the language but if you access the calendar and you press the flag for the other language, the page stay on the same language, doesn't change. BUT if i add on the url address bar domain/es/calendar then it get translated and it show the events in spanish. thats one thing. at least if i open the calendar with the prefix of the language and i open the event the info appear like i translated on the wp editor fine. BUT the custom fields still on english. qTranslate have some options like even change the excerpt choosing the flag or language tab could be cool if i could change the strings of the meta box base on the language, just like the editor tabs or excerpt. Also thnx to the plugin qTranslate Slug i can change the slug of posts, pages or any taxonomy, but on the calendar even if the title of the event get translated the slug is in english that is the default language. I'm not looking for full support but at least it will be nice if im on the calendar page or events list and i press the flag and it get translated to the other language. i found some work around playing with the theme functions.php adding some filters, but still kind of broke the whole qTranslate functionality.
im working on a website and im playing around with this. you can check it out here and see what im talking about and play around changing languages and changing url prefix of the calendarr slug:
it doesn't matter witch language you are on the calendar if you try to change it, it will just send you to the same page. i play with the .htaccess to make some tweaks to redirect but still doesn't fix or make the UX better. the only way around i taught was create a page with custom slugs that send you to the right calendar. other is a page with information about the calendars like a introduction and buttons with the URL to the translation calendar correctly. anyway, i have work around but is not friendly, you should be an advance user or developer to find a way around. in simple words, doesn't have to be just qTranslate, but the plugging at least could have some kind of integration with switching languages instead of been aviable of translated on some languages. of course if the website is just 1 language it will be translated friendly JUST for that language but it doesnt have an UI for switching or translating on the same dashboard. im not talking about the .MO because already have some.
sorry if iv been redundant, my english is not that good, im just trying to let myself well understood.
thnx in advance, still the plugin is awesome! :) thnx for the contribution to the WP community with this script.
im using the free version but im gonnna buy the PRO version so i could have the widget and the other stuff. it could be awesome if could manage languages switching for the end user and avoid making weird work arounds to make it work.

We worked hard to integrate our plugins with WPML to allow for multilingual calendars. We do not currently have plans to do the same for qTranslate, but we might consider it if enough people were interested.
First, collect the email address of the event creator. It would be great to add these people to our list. Second, send a notification to the event creator when it is posted. It might bring them back to the site again later.75 votes
Check out this third-party plugin, that would allow you to do exactly that: https://wordpress.org/plugins/bnfw/
Would like this to be integrated with BuddyPress so they synchronize smoothly, is this possible?172 votesticketed for consideration · AdminModern Tribe (Admin, The Events Calendar by Modern Tribe) responded
We are interested in improving the BuddyPress integration in a future release. Thanks for letting us know this feature is important to you!
In v2.0 of TEC PRO, all additional fields are associated with events only; it does not change what data is collected or stored for organizers or venues. It therefore is not possible to, say, assign a URL to a venue. Being able to define additional fields specifically for venues and organizers would be useful.96 votes
Hot off the presses, we’ve got a tutorial to help you do custom fields for Venues and Organizers! Check it out: http://m.tri.be/18ed
Id like to be able to move where the field appears in the backend instead of the newest item always being last.
For example I had a client ask me to add times to the opening acts. There were already 3 opening acts set up within the calendar with different atributes for each.
Since each new time atribute matched with an opening artist I made sense to group it with that artist like the rest of the atributes, not have all the times at the end of the list so I had to re-input all the opening acts.27 votes
The majority of our events run from 09:30-10:00. It would be really helpful if I could set a default start and end time within the events calendar settings defaults tab. That way I wouldn't have to edit those fields every event, as none of ours run from 09:00am - 5:00pm.115 votes
We have a tutorial that allows you to set default start and end times for events: http://m.tri.be/v9
Please provide a space in Dashboard where we can put alternative words for 'Event' and 'Events' so that people can use 'Tour' and 'Tours' or 'Party' and 'Parties' or whatever they need. Not everything is an event.126 votes
We now have a tutorial walking you through how to do exactly this!
Thanks for the feedback!
I have had users asking for a year view -- for planning purposes. They are able to go from month to month, but occasionally events run over month lines they lose concentration clicking from month to month. Plus, it does give an over-all view when making assessments and yearly time considerations.
Plus, it seems like it might be a fairly easy addition -- just a screen shot of all the months together.39 votes
Thank you guys so much for your feedback. Work on this is about 50% complete.
However, when we reanalyzed our priorities we realized that some of our new features, like year view, should be put on hold for now to make time for some higher impact endeavors. We are currently focused on bug fixes, architecture improvements, and polishing our current UI. While these improvements are not as “flashy” as new features like year view, they are helping a significantly greater portion of our users than this sort of new feature. Thus, we have to focus on these for a while longer. Once those tasks are complete we will have some extra time for exciting things like finishing year view.

Hook into the WordPress JetPack Publicize plugin or to WP-to-Twitter plugin to tweet event posts when they are published. This should hook to the WP Shortlinks feature (wp.me) or to Twitter's shortener (t.co) so links can easily be included in the tweet.34 votes
Currently our WooTickets plugin does not work fully with recurring events, and users can only purchase tickets for the most upcoming event in a series. Would it be useful to you to combine the power of WooTickets with the PRO recurring events feature?375 votes
We’re continuing our work on a huge revamp of recurring events that would pave the way for recurring tickets. Additionally we’re working on backend improvements to tickets to support this kind of complicated functionality. Please continue to share your use cases in comments so we can strategize the scope of this long-awaited feature.
