Thank you all for your patience on this one.
This can be addressed with the following snippet pasted in the functions.php file of your theme (without the PHP tag at the top): https://gist.github.com/niconerd/16770b84adb6156aaa77948bf208bacb
We also want to thank @websource who wrote a separate nice little plugin to address this.
We can certainly see how this would be a useful feature! We’d like to see how many other folks are interested.Alison Mahony commented
I didn't know that when event organizers add pictures to their events that it puts the image into the Media Library, creating a big hodge podge of everyones images. That sounds horrible! I am def interested in seeing this improved.

We’ve started work on some updated design elements, including having multi-day events span the duration of the event ala Google Calendar.

Thanks for all the votes and feedback regarding this subscription/newsletter idea. It is something we have talked about a lot as a result of your feedback.
The author of Events Calendar Newsletter, a third party plugin, just wrote an excellent tutorial regarding integrating that plugin with The Events Calendar so folks can subscribe to your calendar. It covers sending out event based newsletters, possible ways to add a subscribe button to your site, and so forth. It seems ideally suited to the folks requesting this feature. :) We have heard nothing but good things from the users of this Newsletter plugin and wanted to share this possible 3rd party solution with y’all that’s available now.
Cheers!Alison Mahony commented
I bought the Events Calendar Newsletter plugin and its really good. Integrates with MailChimp, and you can segment your list based on Category of events. I wouldn't bother adding this functionality into the Events Calendar suite since the plugin exists and works well.
