Probably more like Organizers so more than one can be added per event. (There's a feature request for multiple Venues per event but it's not current functionality.)

A metadata / custom fields GUI for each ticket (to know which ticket goes with which GoToWebinar URL) would be a separate feature request. Please add that as a separate feature request. Thank you.

Thanks for your votes! We have this on our longterm roadmap for Event Tickets Plus.

Some folks have started using the free Event Tickets addon as a waitlist ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/event-tickets/ ). With that plugin installed a new type of ticket becomes available: RSVP. You can add RSVPs “tickets” to sold out events. This allows users to share their email address if they are interested in attending. You can then email the list of interested users when a ticket becomes available.

With some minor wording modification you can even rename RSVP to “Waitlist” and change any other verbiage to help make this a decent wait list feature for your website.

@Benoit I am sorry we missed your comment here. To be completely blunt, we are not able to provide an ETA.

When you build a building you typically start with designing blueprints. After you have blueprints then you can start gathering estimates for time to build, cost, etc. But with software development designing the blueprints and actually building the software are the exact same thing. And so it is essentially impossible to give accurate ETAs, as you don't event have the blueprints yet. Any software ETA is at best speculation, and not something that really be committed to. Which is why many software companies, ours included, do not give public ETAs.

Thank you Mike for sharing this solution. We are looking into perhaps writing a tutorial on tying the two plugins in. We first want to do a little more testing with that plugin to see how well it works with The Events Calendar.

Yes, the tutorial is for all ticketed events across your calendar. If you're interested in doing that for a single event, it would be more complicated. You might try posting in our forums (http://m.tri.be/18de) and see if we can help point you in the right direction to achieve that.

    Howdy All,

That's a good point Saskia. And is definitely one of the main things we have considered when discussing this in the past.

One feature we are talking about implementing is preventing the submission when there are no items in the cart, and notifying the user that they need to select an amount before clicking add to cart if they accidentally click. Would that work for everyone?

    Cheers!

    Howdy Johan,

Good question. I am sorry it has been so long since we have updated this request. We have been working on it. We have begun scoping this feature, which is the first step to building it. After it is scoped dev work can begin, and then we will assign it to an upcoming release. We do not have an ETA just yet.

    Cheers!

Hi woodraf, thanks for the suggestion. I doubt we would do this with a special category, it would be better handled as a checkable option in it's own meta box or something along those lines. You could definitely incorporate something like this now with some custom coding, although doing it for Community Events might be a little more difficult.

We'll take it into consideration for the future and how to incorporate it into Community Events as well.

    Cheers!

Hi Cliff, thanks for the idea! We'll take it into consideration.

Hey there! Do you mean something different than the existing sorting and filtering features? These existing features *do* allow filtering by venue in the wp-admin; do you mean that there'd be an additional filter so that's only events submitted from the community submission form?

Just curious for more information here – thank you!

Thats an interesting idea PMMiller, thank you for sharing. We have also investigated if it might be possible to find a workaround where with some ingenuity one button works for both. We are definitely keen to improve the compatibility. Please keep voting on this, it helps us prioritize things. :)

Thanks for all your comments, it does look like there maybe some room to improve this. So I have changed from Solution Provided to Needs More Votes.

Thank you guys. Those are some awesome ideas and would definitely address the problem! I will leave this on Needs clarification for a bit longer just in case anyone else has some more thoughts.

    Cheers!

    Howdy folks,

Thanks for all the votes and feedback regarding this subscription/newsletter idea. It is something we have talked about a lot as a result of your feedback.

The author of Events Calendar Newsletter, a third party plugin, just wrote an excellent tutorial regarding integrating that plugin with The Events Calendar so folks can subscribe to your calendar. It covers sending out event based newsletters, possible ways to add a subscribe button to your site, and so forth. It seems ideally suited to the folks requesting this feature. :) We have heard nothing but good things from the users of this Newsletter plugin and wanted to share this possible 3rd party solution with y’all that’s available now.

    Cheers!

We do not have an update on this feature request. We can see the value in adding it, but currently it is not planned.

We are working on enabling actual subscription for personal calendars (https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/3777092-enable-calendar-synchronisation).

Can you explain more regarding your vision for email updates?

Thanks again for posting here. It is an idea we would like to consider in a future release if it gets more votes. For now I would recommend again Advanced Custom Fields.

Thanks for the suggestion! This is a good idea and we'll consider it for a future release. In the interim you may want to consider using a different plugin for your custom fields that will give you more flexibility like this. I highly recommend http://www.advancedcustomfields.com/

It would need some further tweaks to accommodate minute-level changes (and I'm afraid we don't offer technical support here on UserVoice) but I do hope it shows that this sort of tweak is readily achievable without any need to hack core plugin code :-)

    Hi John,

Does the solution proposed in this knowledgebase post help out at all?

    Hi Gareth,

Others have asked for this too and I think it's a great suggestion. We'll take it into consideration! Thanks.

    Hello all,

We do not have a specific update on this, however, we just wanted to make sure that everybody has the latest relevant information available.

    1) Earlier this year, we have acquired Gigpress: http://gigpress.com/ and we have provided some basic integration with the Events Calendar

    2) Although not officially supported, many of our customers have successfully integrated such fields via the Advanced Custom Fields plugin

Cheers and keep the votes coming!

    Howdy everyone!

What an awesome idea. There are some folks on our team who have commented on how stoked they would be to help make the calendar better for bands. We have some musicians and people who just love music round here.

We want to gather some additional information on how people would use this feature. A question for everyone: Are you currently using the "Organizer" fields for your band information, but you want to be able to add more details and rename Organizer to Band? Or, are you already using the Organizer for the event coordinator, and you need an additional separate set of fields for the Band? If neither of the above please provide more details so we can have a clear picture of your needs.

Thanks to everyone for your excellent feedback. Especially you Oliver for submitting and championing the idea. We want to help improve y'alls calendars to the best of our ability, and your ideas really help.

    Cheers!

Thanks again for everyone's feedback. It is very important to our team to know what's important to you. We are definitely still keen on this. There really is not much new to report at this point. We have a number of popular ideas on our roadmap at the moment, some currently being built and some still in the queue. We need to finish a few more popular ideas before working our way down. The good news is that our team has grown recently and we have been able to dramatically increase our pace.

    Thanks for being awesome everyone!

@Anonymous - not yet, but we hope to add it in the future. We will update here as we progress.

    Hi there,

It's possible and we'll take it into consideration depending on how useful we deem this for toher users and how much other demand there is. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thank you for clarifying! Absolutely that makes sense as a feature request. We changed the status to reflect that there is a partial solution. But it will remain open for votes that way others can vote on it should they also wish for a more comprehensive solution. We truly appreciate your feedback!

You can use this tutorial (http://tri.be/altering-or-removing-headings-on-calendar-views/) to change the word in view headings.

Hi Ian, thanks for the suggestion! To confirm, are you wanting to change the word event in the url slug (which is currently possible under Events --> Settings) or did you want to change that across the entire calendar?

Check out this plugin on GitHub for an example of how you can create your own custom view :) https://github.com/moderntribe/tribe-events-agenda-view

If you do write up a little plugin or custom code, we'd love to have you share it in the forums!
