Absolutely! And ideally with an integration with Mailchimp, so that advertisers are added to my Mailchimp general list, and then also added to a sub-list.

That way, I could send mailings to advertisers, reminding them of publication deadlines, giving them analytics data, info about pricing changes, encouraging them to post again if their listing expires etc.

    Howdy folks,

Thanks for all the votes and feedback regarding this subscription/newsletter idea. It is something we have talked about a lot as a result of your feedback.

The author of Events Calendar Newsletter, a third party plugin, just wrote an excellent tutorial regarding integrating that plugin with The Events Calendar so folks can subscribe to your calendar. It covers sending out event based newsletters, possible ways to add a subscribe button to your site, and so forth. It seems ideally suited to the folks requesting this feature. :) We have heard nothing but good things from the users of this Newsletter plugin and wanted to share this possible 3rd party solution with y’all that’s available now.

    Cheers!

Ditto - I use Mailchimp, could it be integrated?

I like the idea of being able to customize the categories - and would like to do it by location too.

A no-time option would be perfect. My events calendar is for classes and workshops, and I'd love to have a way to integrate downloadable webinars - a class that doesn't happen at a specific time.

That would also allow me to include things like e-books, and other resources. Which would make all the difference to upgrading to Pro.

I'm guessing there would need to be a way to display/search for these listings (they wouldn't show up in the calendar), but they could be categorized by type and show up there.

    Thanks!

Absolutely! Great model on the church's site - could we have that too please?
